The Trypillya thermal plant provided power to the three central regions of Zhytomyr, Cherkasy and Kyiv.

The attacks led to partial blackouts in the Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions, Ukraine’s state energy operator, Ukrenergo, said in a statement.

The group had evacuated the orphans last year from Zhytomyr, Ukraine.

The drone strikes targeted Odesa and Mykolaiv regions in the south, Dnipropetrovsk region in the southeast, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr regions in the centre and also Kharkiv region in the northeast, the air force said on the Telegram messaging app.
