Verulamium Park in St Albans was used by Timothée Chalamet, who plays Willy Wonka, and a Warner Bros film crew last year.

Parts of Verulamium Park in St Albans in Hertfordshire were closed to the public on Thursday.

He said after looking at Verulamium Park the producers "thought it would be ideal".

Roused by Boudica, an army of Britons attacked the Romans at their principal military establishment, Camulodunum, now Colchester; in Londinium, the town that was the precursor to London; and in Verulamium, now St. Albans.

Verulamium was the third largest city in Roman Britain and has been mapped by various excavations over the years.
