Neuilly

At the age of nine, Ali Bongo was sent to a private school in the upmarket Paris suburb of Neuilly, and later, to the Sorbonne where he studied law.

In fact, I first visited Bagatelle only after a decade of living in Paris, and the taxi driver — when I alighted at the Pont de Neuilly metro stop — had never heard of my destination.

His death was first reported by the website FranceSoir and later confirmed by media organizations including Libération, which said that his death certificate had been filed in Neuilly.

He died in hospital in Neuilly, near Paris, his family told the AFP news agency.

The French press quoted family members as saying that Uderzo died of a heart attack in the Paris suburb of Neuilly.
