Vega Alta

A: We lived in a small town, Vega Alta.

You grow up with the “Sliding Doors” thinking: “������ if they’d stayed? Who would I be if I grew up in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico?”

He was a young teenager preparing to turn pro, which he eventually did when the Chicago Cubs drafted him in 1993 out of Maestro Ladi High in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico.

Even as a child growing up in the small town of Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, which he left at the age of 18 for New York City, Luis Miranda was fueled by a relentless drive.

But he kept coming back to Vega Alta, bringing Lin-Manuel to spend the summers there.
