Siu Kei “Alex” Kwan, 37, of Castro Valley; Yathei “Hayson” Yuen, 34, of San Jose; Yat C “Sunny” Ng, 35, of Milpitas; Wentao “Victor” Li, 38, of Hayward; Lichao Ni, 39, of Sunnyvale and Zheng Chang, 31, of Union City are being charged with grand theft, conspiracy to commit felony grand theft, perjury and tax fraud.

Gullatt Elementary School, both in Union City, closed for about 30 minutes.

CNN reported that the temporary closure of polling places occurred at the Etris Community Center and Gullatt Elementary in Union City, and noted that Union City’s population is nearly 90% Black, according to the US Census Bureau.

David Sanchez is accused of fatally shooting his 58-year-old father before leaving his body in a Union City dumpster, according to a Hayward Police Department press release.

Due to Hayward police’s ongoing homicide investigation, Sanchez was transferred to Hayward’s custody, where he shared the location of his father’s body: a dumpster in Union City, about seven miles from their Hayward home.
