transverse section

In transverse section it is crescentic, since the septal wall bulges into its cavity.

In transverse section the cone is flattened, so that there is an anterior and a posterior surface and a superior and inferior border.

The septum ventriculorum is concave towards the left ventricle, so that a transverse section of that cavity is nearly circular.
