Tasm.

Then follows the Tasm�yah:— "In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful."

At the end of the juz he has added a translation of the Tashshahud, Qan�d, San�, Ta'awwuz, Tasm�, Tashib�t, ruk�' and Suj�d, and has said that all these must be read in Hindustani.

The Tasm�a' is then said with the body erect, but with the hands placed on either side.

The tribe of Tasm were the posterity of Lud the son of Sem, and Jadis of the descendants of Jether.

The most famous tribes amongst these ancient Arabians were Ad, Thamud, Tasm, Jadis, the former Jorham, and Amalek.
