Called “one of the best novels published in 2023” by NPR, Tananarive Due’s period thriller, “The Reformatory,” is based on Florida’s notorious Dozier School for Boys, examining The Jim Crow South of the 1950s and racism’s long-lasting tendrils.

October is Black Speculative Fiction Month, but that doesn’t begin to explain why Tananarive Due is so busy.
