He will join two-time major winner Rahm, England's Tyrrell Hatton and the USA's Caleb Surratt in the four-player outfit.

Hatton had entered this week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on the PGA Tour, but will now contest LIV Golf's season-opening event at El Camaleon Golf Course in Playa del Carmen alongside former top amateur Caleb Surratt and Zimbabwe's Kieran Vincent, who won his place through a LIV promotions event.

Also joining Rahm’s team are Kieran Vincent of Zimbabwe and Caleb Surratt, who played college golf at Tennessee and competed in the Walker Cup last year at St. Andrews.

Caleb Surratt never trailed in the lead match, a 3-and-2 victory over Calum Scott, and then U.S.

Surratt, who went 3-1 for the week, and Ben James won the lead match and Preston Summerhays and Nick Gabrelcik also picked up a point.
