Of the 51 houses on Sunbury Avenue, in the West Jesmond suburb of Newcastle, 48 are rented out to students, mostly from Newcastle University.

A statement on behalf of the owners of 32 Sunbury Avenue, submitted to planners, said their attempt to sell it as a family home had failed, with negative feedback "regarding the number of student HMOs".

London Irish, whose historic home and training base is in Sunbury, south west London, played at Reading Football Club's ground for two decades before moving to Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium in west London in 2020.

The missing man, in his 60s, entered the water near Sunbury Lock, Surrey, on 11 October when a boat capsized.

Formal identification of the body, found near Sunbury Weir, has yet to take place, but the family of the missing man is being supported by a specialist officer, Surrey Police said.
