It’s tempting to think of Donald Trump’s second term as a sui generis reign of lawlessness.

“The Studio” also features Catherine O’Hara as Remick’s recently canned predecessor, Ike Barinholtz as his dissolute colleague and best friend, Kathryn Hahn as the lot’s aggressive marketing chief and Chase Sui Wonders as a newly minted member of the studio’s development brass.

Although there are original screenwriters aplenty in Hollywood, it’s hard to imagine anyone more truly sui generis than Charlie Kaufman.

Starring Rogen as the newly appointed head of a Hollywood studio, the show also features Catherine O’Hara, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders and Kathryn Hahn.

Indeed, there may be some hope and comfort in the notion the 45th and soon-to-be 47th president of these United States is sui generis, a one-off, a fabulist political unicorn.
