As an interim measure, the waters around six of the areas—Dassen Island, Robben Island, Dyer Island, St. Croix Island, Bird Island, and Stony Point—have been closed to commercial fishing for parts of each year since 2021–22.

Cedar Pond Brook in Stony Point was flowing over the road and into private properties, according to WABC.

Officials warned they were watching many rivers for possible flooding including the Russian River in Sonoma County at Guerneville, forecast to reach moderate flood stage, and at Geyserville; Mark West Creek near the community of Mirabel Heights; Laguna de Santa Rosa at Stony Point Road west of Rohnert Park.

“She had a real commitment to be a Kermit Bloomgarden” — who produced “Death of a Salesman” and “The Music Man” in the 1940s and ‘50s — said Joe Brancato, a friend who is founding artistic director of the Penguin Rep Theater in Stony Point, N.Y., in Rockland County. “She had a real dedication to each show.”

Mr. Rivera owned a $780,000 home with a heated swimming pool and waterfall in Stony Point, N.Y., and another house in the Poconos.
