St. Pierre and Miquelon

A French MP has been attacked by a crowd of Covid-19 pass protesters outside his home in the overseas territory of St Pierre and Miquelon.

The attack came a few days before the introduction of France's health pass in St Pierre and Miquelon, two islands near Canada's Newfoundland in the North Atlantic.

A four-day trek across Langlade, one of the eight islands of the St. Pierre and Miquelon archipelago, costs about $320.

While Paris lies 2,700 miles to the east, the eight small islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon, a French possession and the last remnant of France’s once-vast colonial empire in North America, float like rocky lily pads barely 16 miles off the Canadian coastline.
