Videos shared online showed a large plume of smoke billowing from the facility in the city of Sergiyev Posad.

Local officials said the epicenter of the blast was at a warehouse storing fireworks located on the grounds of the Zagorsk Optical-Mechanical Plant in the town of Sergiyev Posad, less than 50 miles from Moscow.

The prosecutor’s case, heard by a municipal court in Sergiyev Posad, a center of the Russian Orthodox Church, produced no evidence of extremism and focused instead on the insufficient patriotism of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
