For the next few weeks, with her vehicle stuck at a tow yard, Kendrick said she hitched rides with a co-worker to her early morning job at a truck stop in Sauk Village, Illinois.

Davion Johnson, 20, of Sauk Village was arrested Monday and charged with armed robbery and theft after he was connected to three attacks since November.

LeAira’s father Tony Rogers, of Sauk Village, Illinois, described his daughter as “a bubbly young lady, very energetic. A good student who laughed all the time.”

The weather service also says trained spotters reported that a tornado briefly touched down near Sauk Village on the Illinois-Indiana border.

In this recent case, Buckley now faces criminal charges for allegedly impersonating a Sauk Village police officer while on the school grounds.
