The Tour of Flanders, which began in 1919 and known as De Ronde, is a historic one-day road race held in Belgium every spring and highlighted by climbs and cobbled sectors.

A Northern California native, Benson co-founded the Orange Country theater with fellow founding artistic director David Emmes in 1964, after the two San Francisco State graduates collaborated on a 1963 production of Arthur Schnitzler’s “La Ronde” at Long Beach’s Off-Broadway Theatre.

The young salmon, or smolts, lucky enough to drop into the creek are expected to persevere in their migration from the Grande Ronde River to the ocean.

"Nordic monarchies share the same values, culture, history. Their royals are all widely seen as hard-working and keen to talk to people and to engage with them," royal commentator Marie Ronde for Denmark's TV2 told the BBC.

"Removals happened very quickly, with most Native people taken to the Grand Ronde, Warm Springs and Klamath reservations," said co-author David Lewis, a member of the Grand Ronde Tribe and an assistant professor of anthropology and Indigenous studies in OSU's College of Liberal Arts.
