Queensland nut

The kernel, when mature, has a rich and agreeable flavor, much like but richer than the hazelnut, hence one of its local names, for it is also known as "Queensland nut."

Of such are the Queensland nut, a handsome evergreen tree, bearing heavy crops of a very fine flavoured nut.

The Macadamia ternifolia, or Queensland nut, is not quite so well known in Queensland as I thought it was.
