The station – Praha Bubny – has since been transformed into a memorial, and a much larger, modern station is being built nearby.

A while back, in a newsletter about Bistro Praha in Edmonton, we asked you to tell us about restaurants that have become local institutions.

That was just the beginning of the road to recovery for the former Maryland star after she was injured playing for USK Praha in the Czech Republic in January 2021.

Mr. Cikanek was involved in the city’s music scene, and, from the beginning, Bistro Praha has been a hangout for musicians, actors and artists.

The 22-year-old Czech forward posted 14 goals and 38 points in 49 games with Sparta Praha this season, with two goals and five assists in 11 playoff games.
