Poe, Edgar Allan
- A nineteenth-century American author known for his poems and horror stories. Among his works are the stories “ The Fall of the House of Usher ,” “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Pit and the Pendulum,” “The Cask of Amontillado,” and “The Murders in the Rue Morgue,” and the poems “The Bells” and “ The Raven .”
