PA system

The Europa League anthem was played over the PA system as the players lined up at Villa Park on Tuesday, before it was switched for the Champions League anthem.

There are two huge TV screens at each end of the ground, accompanied by an incredibly loud PA system - you could probably hear it across the Mersey on the Wirral.

“They announced it over the PA system, but I was so oblivious to everything but what I was doing on the mound that I didn’t even hear it.”

Nelson Mandela, who reportedly piped her music through the PA system of Robben Island while he was incarcerated there.

Backed by drums, shakers and a PA system, the group cast chants over the fence toward the building, in hopes those inside could hear them.
