Ivy Ridge was established in 2001 and closed in 2009 on the site of a former college near Ogdensburg, New York, one of multiple institutions affiliated with the now-defunct World Wide Association of Specialty Programs and Schools, or WWASPS.

The agency runs the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center in Ogdensburg, but it wouldn’t confirm where the individuals work now or in the past.

Caccamo said a reunion and peaceful protest is planned in Ogdensburg this month.

“My parents had hired two strangers to forcibly escort me to Academy at Ivy Ridge in the small town of Ogdensburg in Upstate New York,” Kubler said.

Bishop of Ogdensburg Terry R. LaValley said there were 124 cases pending against the diocese, with claims dating from the 1940s through the 1990s.
