Pop singer-songwriter Lola Young leads the nominations for this year's prestigious Ivor Novello Awards, with Charli XCX, Ghetts and Jade among the other stars in contention.

The Ivor Novello Awards are coveted in the UK music industry because they specifically celebrate songwriting.

As well as a string of hits, including 2023's song of the summer Sprinter, to his name, Cee's picked up multiple Mobo awards and been nominated for a prestigious Ivor Novello prize.

Her performance was a delight, with a veneer of snobbery from which would emerge the masterly put down, particularly in the case of Mr Novello's failed movie.

Last year, she ranked among the top 20 most performed living classical composers and was the first woman to receive an Ivor Novello Award for classical music.
