Lydia McLaughlin of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” is mourning the loss of her brother Geoff Stirling after the 45-year-old was fatally shot Thursday by Newport Beach police.

Stirling was pronounced dead after being taken to Hoag Hospital by personnel from the Newport Beach Fire Department.

Stirling, a Laguna Niguel resident, was pulled over Thursday night for a traffic violation on his motorcycle, the Newport Beach Police Department said in a news release.

Instead of hanging 10, some surfers in Newport Beach had to cut and run after they were accosted by an aggressive sea lion.

“You don’t want 10 different developers owning that site with different visions,” said Kurt Strasmann, executive managing director at the Newport Beach office of real estate giant CBRE.
