Last year's contest was won by Swiss singer Nemo for their song The Code - a semi-operatic pop song that charted their journey to realising they were non-binary.

Nemo later told the BBC that organisers had not done enough to support participants.

This year's contest will take place in Basel, Switzerland, after their act Nemo won in 2024.

It was Pixar’s second film to earn the feature Oscar; “Finding Nemo” had won the previous year.

Winner Nemo even accidentally broke the Eurovision trophy after placing it on stage, leaving the Swiss entrant with bandages after sustaining deep cuts to the thumb.
