South Africa hammered Argentina in Nelspruit to win the Rugby Championship for the first time since 2019.

New Zealand fell to a fifth defeat in their last six Tests as they lost 26-10 against South Africa in their Rugby Championship opener in Nelspruit.

That means the Lions will not travel to Durban, Port Elizabeth or Nelspruit, as originally planned for the tour.

“Traditionally, no one would ever dream about planting down there, but you need to pioneer - much like this farm was pioneered more than 100 years ago,” said Craig Lewis, an executive at the producer HL Hall and Sons on a farm near the northern city of Nelspruit.

South Africa’s state broadcaster, the South African Broadcasting Corporation, reported that Nzima died in the northwestern city of Nelspruit Saturday night.
