Ms Meynell said she had "taken urgent action to address the immediate concerns raised" and "ensured that all of the initial recommendations that relate to our investigations and support for victims have been completed".

Chief Constable Kate Meynell said she recognised the "serious nature" of the findings.

Nottinghamshire Police's Kate Meynell said a special constable had been sacked for viewing the footage.

"I'm not going to try and pretend that I feel the same horror as the families," Ms Meynell said.

"We are currently looking at the work being done in Shrewsbury and Telford by West Mercia Police to understand how they conducted their investigation alongside Donna Ockenden's review and any lessons learnt," said Ms Meynell.
