Luanne Park, 63, was among the competitors who embraced excruciating pain in a battle to traverse a 100-mile course unlike any other in the U.S.

“The pandemic burned us all out so much on technology,” said Luanne Wilson, who co-founded Reclaim Clay Collective with Siera Matsuo in the Chinatown International District in May.

“We’re trying to get more people in the community invested in the arts,” said co-founder Luanne Wilson.

Mr. Pearce’s survivors include his wife, LuAnne; their children, Dodi, Sean, Colten, Justin and Joshua; and three grandchildren.
