Llyr Gruffydd, chairman of the Senedd's climate change, environment and infrastructure committee, said the government's rhetoric on nature loss "isn't followed up with action".

The committee's chairman, Llyr Gruffydd MS said residents living near opencast mines too often felt "completely failed by the public authorities who are meant to protect them".

Plaid Cymru's rural affairs spokesman Llyr Gruffydd said the government's budget would be a "litmus test" of Welsh ministers' commitment to farmers.

Committee chair Llyr Gruffydd said he expected six services from north Wales, each with at least three carriages, to be laid on yesterday.

Llyr Hughes, a pharmacist in Criccieth and spokesman for Community Pharmacy Wales, said the changes to working practice were "some of the biggest" the profession had seen, resulting in investment in staff, training and facilities.
