Greek farmers have already been blocking a major road connecting Larissa to the city of Kozani to the northwest for about ten days.

The employee, who was not named, was attacked when a 45-year-old man entered the tax office in the northwestern city of Kozani July 16 without being subjected to any security screening, only a check on his temperature.

Two regions in northern Greece, Kozani and Kastoria, are at the highest risk and regional lockdowns have already been announced, followed by other provinces of elevated surveillance in northern Greece and the region of Attica, where Athens is located.

Miltos Palatzas, 29, from Kozani, a town in northern Greece, had studied accounting when the financial crisis started unfolding but then moved into hospitality and is now managing a restaurant at a luxury hotel.
