Announcing the latest safety features, Roblox's Chief Safety Officer Matt Kaufman said: "These tools, features, and innovations reflect our mission to make Roblox the safest and most civil online platform in the world."

“I saw the front-page article in the New York Times and was struck by a photo of the Nazis with an accordion,” Kaufman recalled.

“The time is now for a productive, careful, measured conversation with decision makers, including the California Supreme Court, so this doesn’t happen again,” Kaufman said.

Taking the stage, Kaufman said he found the 30-second speech countdown clock “intimidating.”
