The 49-year-old right winger had an assist to help his hometown club Kladno Knights return to the top Czech league by beating Jihlava 5-2 to clinch their playoff series 4-3.

He said the Totems almost didn’t play, having threatened the prior week to boycott an exhibition they eventually won 6-4 over a powerhouse Dukla Jihlava team from Czechoslovakia unless they got paid.

It is 13 points behind first-place Jihlava but trails second-place Vsetin by three points.

Two years after the umbrella movement, Yellowing will appear at the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival in the Czech Republic next month and has been submitted for the prestigious Taiwan Golden Horse film awards.

"He struggled physically," says his coach at Jihlava, Milan Bokša.
