"The President of the United States has determined who deserves care and who does not, essentially ordering people to suffer, for families and communities to lose their parents, siblings, children, loved ones, and friends," Dr. Jamila Perritt, an ob-gyn who heads Physicians for Reproductive Health, said in a statement.

Jamila, a Sudanese woman in her mid-40s, also believed reports within the Sudanese community that a better life awaited them in Libya.

But when the police officer realised they were refugees, Jamila says he withdrew the report and warned her that she would be jailed if the complaint was officially filed.

Jamila Zadran, 32, of East Ham, has charged with assaulting an emergency worker, while Luke Jacobs, 22, of West Hampstead, has been charged with obstructing a police officer and criminal damage.

“When selecting a gift, always consider the professional relationship and avoid anything too personal,” said etiquette expert Jamila Musayeva.
