The IAEA, which monitors nuclear safety around the world, said radiation levels inside and outside Chernobyl remain normal and stable.

North Korea also announced it would withdraw from the IAEA.

The resolution, passed at a quarterly meeting in Vienna, said Iran must urgently, fully and unambiguously co-operate with the IAEA.

Grossi told reporters at a meeting of the IAEA’s 35-nation board of governors in Vienna that Russia does not plan to decommission the plant.

It said the IAEA’s request need to be resolved, otherwise the the agency “will not be able to confirm the correctness an completeness of Iran’s declarations” under the deal.
