Kevin Edward Locke was born on June 23, 1954, on the Standing Rock Reservation in South Dakota and was a member of the Hunkpapa community of the Lakota of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

Her father was Hunkpapa Lakota, her mother white.

“Someone goes missing just about every day … from a tribal community,” said Lynnette Grey Bull, who is Hunkpapa Lakota and Northern Arapaho and director of the organization Not Our Native Daughters.

Guy Jones, a Hunkpapa Lakota and member of the Greater Cincinnati Native American Coalition, said the report misses the larger point on that score.
