HODGENVILLE, Ky. — The Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park is hosting a remembrance event that commemorates the death of the former president.

In the early afternoon Tuesday, in Hodgenville, Ky., a pastor named Jonathan Carl was at his Baptist church, calling congregants who were in the hospital with covid-19.

A discussion of the book will be held Jan. 15 at the Birthplace Visitors Center in Hodgenville and virtually on the park’s Facebook page.

The man, Jack Shunnarah, of Hodgenville, Ky., laughed awkwardly as other men resting against the wall of the gas station repeated the pejorative.

The park at Hodgenville reopened access Monday to its visitors center, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
