Good Conduct Medal

Betzold received several awards during his tenure, including the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal and the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation.

He earned 13 awards, including the Army Achievement Medal and Army Good Conduct Medal, and was promoted to staff sergeant in January 2008.

Sotelo — honored by the Army with an Afghanistan campaign medal, a campaign star, and a good conduct medal — would live in this tent for seven months, trying every day to find permanent housing.

During his time in the Marines, he achieved the rank of sergeant and earned a number of awards including Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal.

Each of the men had received a Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Service Medal, according to service records.
