Chamberlain appeared in director Bryan Forbes’ 1969 film “The “Madwoman of Chaillot,” starring Katharine Hepburn, and he starred as the Russian composer Tchaikovsky opposite Glenda Jackson in director Ken Russell’s 1970 film “The Music Lovers.”

But Chamberlain was cast as Tchaikovsky in Ken Russell's overblown biopic, The Music Lovers, in which he starred opposite Glenda Jackson.

On stage, she appeared alongside Glenda Jackson in Chekhov's Three Sisters; and played Ophelia in Hamlet – later admitting her nightly descent into madness had been chemically enhanced.

Glenda thinks Amanda, an office manager at a hedge fund in the City of London, started drinking to deal with the anxiety of having to face unaffordable bills to fix the cladding, running into the tens of thousands.

Glenda believes the anti-depressants she was given were not benefiting her.
