Fashion model Lucy Markovic, who first gained popularity as a competitor on “Australia’s Next Top Model” before professionally modeling for luxury brands including Givenchy and Versace, has died.

She was ranked on Forbes magazine's 30 Under 30 in Music list last year, has supported acts including Florence and the Machine and Mitski on tour, and has modelled for Givenchy, Marc Jacobs and Miu Miu.

Maison Margiela’s creative director John Galliano, the iconoclastic couturier who previously headed artistry at Givenchy and Christian Dior, is leaving his post at the luxury French fashion house after a decade-long run.

The pair first crossed paths a couple of months earlier during Paris Fashion Week, when they both attended a Givenchy show.
