Funafuti

Five machines and 30 sale terminals have been installed on Funafuti, the country's main island, including at its airport.

Funds will also be provided for land reclamation in Tuvalu to expand land in capital Funafuti by around 6%.

Tuvalu’s capital city, Funafuti, sits about 585 miles south of the Equator.

“Our commitment here is significant — not only to the protection of the environment, but the way of life for the Pacific peoples,” Morrison told reporters in Funafuti.

The smaller states met in Funafuti, the capital of Tuvalu, ahead of Tuesday’s opening of the Pacific Islands Forum which Morrison will attend.
