Common Agricultural Policy

The cornerstone of a uniting Europe for more than six decades has been its Common Agricultural Policy, known as the C.A.P.

Many British farmers backed Brexit out of opposition to the EU’s much-criticized Common Agricultural Policy.

For decades farm support has come from the EU under its Common Agricultural Policy which was created in 1962.

Every revision of the EU’s so-called Common Agricultural Policy stirred grumblings as small farmers felt ever more alienated from new policies, but were forced to adapt if they wanted to survive.

The authors conclude that funds provided by the EU's Common Agricultural Policy need to be used for achieving the NRL's aims: a statement to be intensively debated in science and application.
