The incident took place in the driveway of a home near the intersection of Coldwater Canyon Avenue and Clawson Place about a half-mile south of Harvard Westlake School.

“Until there is a model where the player are paid more fairly on the revenue they generate, there’s always going to be a need for a collective to supplement what athletic departments can do,” Clawson said.

“Well, it’s a pretty fresh memory,” Wake Forest coach Dave Clawson said.

Clawson said the conference office needs to provide more football-focused support.

On the field, Clawson said he thinks the key to landing at-large bids to the CFP will be having multiple teams at the top of the conference reach double-digit victories.
