Braemar

The last time the UK had any temperature that below -20C was in February 2021 when Braemar in Aberdeenshire was measured at -23C.

Temperatures dropped below -10C in some areas of northern Scotland, including Braemar in Aberdeenshire, which recorded a low of -11.2C, the coldest November night since 1998.

Earlier in the week, Scotland recorded its coldest early winter temperature since 1998 when Braemar in Aberdeenshire reached a low of -11.2C.

The service was led by Rev Kenneth MacKenzie, minister of the Parish of Braemar and Crathie and domestic chaplain to the King.

The King and Queen appeared in jovial mood as they attended the Braemar Gathering Highland Games in Aberdeenshire.
