According to a letter from a Federal Highway Administration official, Emily Biondi, the administration is halting “new obligations” under the electric vehicle infrastructure program while allowing states to receive reimbursements for “existing obligations.”

"This is one of the first demonstrations of how DAS can change our understanding of crustal dynamics," says Ettore Biondi, DAS scientist at Caltech and the paper's first author.

As a swimmer, Nesty produced one of the greatest upsets in Olympic swimming history when he beat Biondi by one-hundredth of a second in the 100-meter butterfly at Seoul.

Competing for Suriname, Nesty was the first Black male swimmer to win an Olympic gold medal when he upset Matt Biondi at the 1988 Seoul Games.

In one of the sport’s greatest upsets, Nesty beat Biondi by one-hundredth of a second in the 100 fly - an especially momentous accomplishment for a swimmer of color.
