B.F.A.

King grew up in Huntsville, Ala., and came to New York City in 2001 for the Ailey/Fordham B.F.A. program, where she focused on choreography.

Mr. Sikkema earned a B.F.A. degree in 1970 and an M.F.A. in 1971 from the San Francisco Art Institute, where he studied filmmaking and photography.

Instead, Lee got a B.F.A. in sculpture, and then an M.F.A., from the prestigious Seoul National University.

He earned a B.F.A. in musical theater from Syracuse University, but this, in his slightly overstated words, is “the first time I’m putting it to use.”

Mutu, who was born in Kenya in 1972, attended boarding school in Wales and came to New York in the early 1990s, earning a B.F.A. from the Cooper Union and an M.F.A. from Yale.
