Ramer was “the epitome of integrity and grace,” said Rabbi Ken Chasen of Leo Baeck Temple in Los Angeles.

Her embrace and ultimate disillusionment with the political group was dramatized in a recent episode of the podcast “Exile,” narrated by Mandy Patinkin and produced for the Leo Baeck Institute, a Manhattan research library for the study of German-Jewish history and culture.

“California’s Jewish community did not have to wait till the report was released to experience that increase of hatred directed at us this past year with our own eyes and ears,” said Senior Rabbi Ken Chasen of Leo Baeck Temple in Bel-Air.

She was ordained a rabbi at the Leo Baeck College in London and has friends and colleagues there who are supporting her.

The Leo Baeck Temple has sued the city over damage to its buildings and grounds from the Skirball fire, contending that authorities knew about the encampment with its open-air fires and were negligent in allowing it to stay on public property.
