Botanist David Bellamy was involved in planning a mock safari while astronomer Sir Patrick Moore was to contribute to an observatory.

Although astronomers had suspected that there were other worlds around distant stars there had been no proof until that point.

But the team and independent astronomers stress that more data is needed to confirm these results.

But the satellites are common enough these days that they often zip through the field of view of astronomers' telescopes, and their radio signals interfere with the signals used by those telescopes.

“The problem we’re facing is that the number of launches is continuing to increase,” says Aaron Boley, an astronomer at the University of British Columbia.
