The cycleway was built along Gorsey Lane in Altrincham, Greater Manchester, in 2023, blocking access to the car park at St Margaret's Church for cars turning off the busy A56 Dunham Road.

A number of vehicles caught fire at the property in Craven Road, Altrincham at about 12:00 GMT on Saturday.

Footage from Altrincham Today shows large plumes of smoke rising above the area near Altrincham Retail Park as crews from four stations rushed to the scene.
