Only minor coastal flooding is forecast at Westport, Friday Harbor and Port Angeles on Tuesday, but there may be increased tides, so there are coastal flood watches in effect for a potential 2 to 3 feet of coastal flooding at the coast and in the San Juans and Admiralty Inlet.

We acquired these and popcorn, of course, in the fabulous lobby and proceeded to the theater, which gave every appearance of being an actual ballroom, with seven majestic crystal chandeliers and views of Admiralty Inlet and the Cascades through huge windows of wavy antique glass.

About 150 vehicles with reservations, in addition to any drive-up and walk-on passengers, were stuck on either side of Admiralty Inlet.

Flooding is expected Thursday along the coast, Strait of Juan de Fuca, Admiralty Inlet and San Juan Islands where tidal overflow may cause water to spread into parking lots, parks and roadways, the weather service said.

The coast beaches, San Juans, Admiralty Inlet and western ������com and Skagit counties are expected to get the brunt of this cold front, with blustery winds and gusts of up to 45 mph through Thursday morning.
