The Supreme Court decisively slapped O’Connor down with a 7-2 ruling upholding the ACA’s constitutionality in 2021.

Ignoring the Supreme Court’s signal, O’Connor subsequently ruled that the ACA’s provision for no-cost preventive services was also unconstitutional.

The last time we really made transformational change around healthcare was the ACA back in 2009.

Multiple studies have confirmed that Medicaid expansion under the ACA has led to a significant reduction in maternal mortality rates.

But in spite of this, Trump also tried to repeal elements of the ACA and cut funding for the Office of National Drug Control Policy, although these initiatives were blocked by Congress.
