Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday in May in honor of US military members who died while serving. Veterans Day is observed on November 11 in honor of all veterans (those who served in the military) and in commemoration of the end of both World Wars. Despite the days’ different intent, veterans and active military members are often honored on both days.
